it’s a bitter-sweet life

As I walked into the 391st Fighter Squadron yesterday to photograph the squadron commander’s fini-flight, I smelled the familiar scent of burnt popcorn and flight suits. Have you ever smelled a flight suit? They don’t smell particularly bad but not exactly good either…they have a very distinct odor..I think it is some sort of  jet fuel mixed with laundry detergent….
